Still knitting hats....

I feel like I am going a little mad knitting hats in March.  I have always considered this Spring time but it does seem very cold at times still!  I guess they are done now and I can always try and sell them in the actual winter time.  I think i'm coming to the end of the hat knitting though, I have a couple more colours in mind and then they are done.  In my defence they are for the craft fair i'm going to be doing soon......getting very nervous about this now I have to say!

My latest hat colour is a nice bright pink.  I don't actually like pink that much but every now and then a shade really catches my eye, usually a super bright shade like this!  It does look pretty cute on if I do say so myself haha!

I also made a steering wheel cover for a friend of a friend's daughter (I think).  This is it finished but upside down :-P I do have pictures of it on a steering wheel but i can't work out how to get them off my phone, technology eh! I was quite nervous about this as I'd never done it before but it worked out pretty well.  It's crochet which I find harder than knitting at the moment.

I've now started knitting mug hugs/cozys.  These are much quicker to knit so I thought it would be a good way to make sure I have a full table at the craft fair.  I have no clue how much to take and my biggest fear is not selling a single thing.  Everyone keeps saying that won't happen but I can't help imagining knitted stuff won't sell that well when it's not cold.  I will have a selection of brooches, mug hugs, baby booties and hats and all the winter stock will be on sale.  I'm also going to have a sheet for orders if people see something they like but i don't have the colours they want etc.

I haven't been very arty apart from knitting at the moment!  I think once the craft fair is done I will take some time out to do some me things!! Well that's the plan anyway!

Right I'm off to the post office :-) as usual if you like anything you see on these pages please don't hesitate to email me snowbunnysknits@gmail.com....sorry for the shameless self promotion there!!

  3. Definitely want to see a picture of your stall :) It's freezing down here still so can only imagine it's colder up where you are! If you are a hat wearer then definitely still hat weather ;)

I'm not a pink girl but I like that shade next to the grey - looks good!

I'm always nicking Craig's phone to take pictures - I just email them to myself - can you do that on yours? Either that or if internet is not playing nice (quite often at the mo) I use the USB cable to connect direct to my PC and just drag the images over to my pictures folder x

    1. My friend sent me the pictures but I can't seem to find a way to forward them to myself or to save them! I'll google, that always helps :-P x

  4. I really like the pink with grey Caz, and it does suit you.
Don't apologise for self promotion, you are in the business of selling things so you must promote yourself and your wares. I wish you tons of luck at the fair, and like Sheila, I hope it's cold too.
Your cool steering wheel cover reminded me that I've been meaning to ask, have you ever made an ear cosy band thing. You know, the ones skiers tend to wear? I don't like to wear hats, they give me a headache for some strange reason, but I hate having cold ears!! Lol I know, it's nearly Spring, but here in NE Scotland, the wind stays quite chilly for a while yet.

    1. Oh yes I know what you mean! I have one of those myself (not knitted by me sadly I never seem to have the time!!). I can definitely make one of those for you if you like? I'm actually hoping to make a range of them for next winter so you could be my first :-D let me know if you fancy it :-) x

    2. Hey Caz :D Mucho apologies for the delay in replying - life and all - I would definitely like you to make me one please. I walk a friends dog and I need to keep my ears warm. I know you are busy preparing for your fair, so don't fret about rushing. I would like the colour to be the lime green you used on one of your scarves, if you have any left that is, lol. Green is my favourite colour :-D xo

  6. I have to admit four needles is not my fave technique :-P But i'm sure you'll get the hang of it! Took me while to master anything other than a scarf :-P x

  7. If you don't sell any of your darling knitted items, Carol, it won't be because they aren't fabulous. It will be because of what you said, and then you'll know you have to get involved in another craft fair in September or thereabouts, when the knitted delights will sell for sure. It sounds like you have covered all the bases and are set to be accommodating to your customers and that's the best you can do. Now just be lighthearted about it all and have a grand time there! BTW, the crocheted steering wheel cover is awesome! Hugs, Darnell
